G'day, I have come across an interesting problem with the documentation that comes with MathType (both versions 2.0 and 2.11). It happens when I open the specialized version of TeachText (TeachText-M) and look at either of the Tutorial documents. At the beginning of the first page of Tutorial 1, you get the following notes: Before you get started, let's verify you're using Teach Text-M to read this document, rather than a regular version of Teach Text. Look at this character: **. If it is a square root sign containing a dotted box, then all is well. If it's a diamond, or some other symbol, then you are not using the Teach Text-M program that we provided on this disk, and the rest of the tutorial is going to be impossible to understand. Right. The problem exists that when I open Teach Text-M and llok at the tutorial all seems ok and I see the square root sign with the dotted box inside. But, when I print this out, all I get is the diamond and further stuff is all over the place. I tried this on three different printers. I reloaded the Belmont font to the printer. Further, I took the backup copy I had of MathType 2.00 and tried the version of Teach Text-M on that (in case the one I was previously trying was damaged) and the results were the same. I am using an SE-30 with 6.0.4, but 6.0.5 printer drivers (I know, it sounds a bit weird, but they seem to work together). Could there be an incompatability between Teach Text-M and 6.0.5 printer drivers?
