I apoligize if this is not the correct forum, but I didn't know where else to post it. I recently saw the TV show "Computer Chronicles". They talked about how all of the students at Drexel Univ. are encourged to own their own Mac. One of the students (Michael Michaud) that was interviewed mentioned LabView. I assumed that they are using it in their classes and research. My purpose if two fold: 1) If someone from Drexel could respond to me mentioning how difficult it is to begin with LabView and any hints they may have. 2) Either the same or any other person in Drexel engineering could comment on the success of Macs in Engineering. Our department is almost 80% Mac here but mostly use them for Word Processing, and elementary spreadsheet programs. They have recently purchased LabView to begin using the mac in other areas. I'm trying to find out if CAD programs and other Engineering programs could be used effectively in College curriculm. Please send any success stories. Thanks in advance. I know the tools are out there they just have to be found and proven to the department that they are worth the time and purchase price. alex dahla@yoda.byu.edu
