Is there anyone out there using MakeTest by Mountain Lake Software? I have recently started using it. I like it except for the inability to easily import old tests from my word processor. A recent review in MacWorld (or maybe it was MacUser) also mentioned this shortcoming. Has anyone come up with a way to import tests from their word processor other than cut and paste via the clipboard? Also, does anyone know if Mountain Lake has an e-mail address? I'd like to send these comments on to them. I have their snail address from the manual, but I'd rather send e-mail if possible. As a plug from a satisfied user of MakeTest (with, obviously, no other connection to Mountain Lake Software), I can say that this is a really nice program for keeping track of different test banks and generating tests. I've had to look at the manual on occasion for some things, but overall it's fairly intuitive. Once you have your questions entered (at least one publisher, Prentice Hall, sends test questions for some of their books I use in MakeTest format), it is very easy to either pick the questions yourself and generate a test or let MakeTest randomly select questions according to certain criteria. By the way, my copy of MakeTest version 1.1.1 was provided by Prentice Hall for use with an intro text of theirs that I am using. Just thought I should recognize Prentice Hall. Scott D.
