I just received an upgrade to QuickKeys and I have to admit I am seriously disappointed. After using the installer to convert all the old key sets, install the new inits the application does not work. I can not get newly recorded actions to perform nor does QK2 shut off key sets when an application quits which makes for a very confused computer! This is installed in my Mac Plus at home (2.5 megs, system 6.04) not using multifinder. I have used QuickKeys 1.2 on both my home machine and my IIci (5 megs. sys 6.05 running under multifinder) with zero problems. I am surprised CE Software would release a product with this many bugs. I use virtually all their other products and would not hesitate to recommend them. Alan Hattman Internet: AlanH@cup.portal.com MCI 436-0744 CIS:72740,1346

Aside from the bugs, Is QK2 able to shut off the universal set for a particular program? I hate having to remember to manually shut it off for terminal programs so I can use the Control key. Also, Word 4 takes forever if you use QKs instead of Word's key assignments, so I have to override everything with aliases, which is a pain when I create new QKs -or- Word commands. Is the sequencing yet improved beyond MacroMaker level (if that)? And what happens if you try to QK-launch a program already running. Please tell me it now works properly under MultiFinder. I got the upgrade notice a while ago and decided not to upgrade until I was sure of these. Sorry you have to be a bug tester, though.
