If this ever became a problem there is a simple solution.  If you gave
a copy (one would do) of all your software to a (trusted) friend then
the software would have no value.  

If you still wanted to profit from
the software you could contract to maintain and improve the 
existing software with people you gave copies to.

Any legal types see any problem with this?
