I like compactor more that the shareware version of Stuffit except for one detail....compactor will not decode or encode binhex. At least no reference is made to binhex in the manual or the menus. Am I correct? This will make getting software from/to the archives a bit of a pain having to use two programs to both (un)archive/(un)binhex the file(s). = John DeRosa, Motorola, Inc, Cellular Infrastructure Group = = e-mail: ...uunet!motcid!derosaj, motcid!derosaj@uunet.uu.net = = Applelink: N1111 = =I do not hold by employer responsible for any information in this message = -- = John DeRosa, Motorola, Inc, Cellular Infrastructure Group = = e-mail: ...uunet!motcid!derosaj, motcid!derosaj@uunet.uu.net = = Applelink: N1111 = =I do not hold by employer responsible for any information in this message =

I can't speak for Bill Goodman, the author of Compactor, but he mentioned in a recent posting on CompuServe that he plans to support both BinHex and file split/join in his next major release. John Norstad Academic Computing and Network Services Northwestern University jln@casbah.acns.nwu.edu
