Many thanks for all the response. For those of you that missed the original I set out on a quest to change a document that was written in all CAPS and change them all to lower case without having to retype the whole document. The best solution I've found is to get the da MacSink from sumex. It can grab any text and go to all lower or all upper in seconds, and can also capatalize sentences. Since this did the job, I did not bother checking into the commercial version of MacSink, Vantage. The second option that was proposed was to purchase Nisus. Everyone claims that this is the answer to most modern word processing woes. Since I have not the money nor the time to investigate that route I elected to stay with the first solution. Several original thinkers proposed that I find and replace A to a and B to b 26 times. This works, but can be tedious and a waste of time when MacSink does it all in two seconds. If there are any questions feel free to e-mail or post. I found that many people have had the same problem. If you can't get to the sumex archives let me know. My wife has blessed the world of internet for the easy solution to the problem. dahla@yoda.byu.edu "Do you recall that BYU beat Miami? Just my $0.02 worth."
