[comp.sys.mac.apps] DiskFit 2.0

changwoo@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Chang P. Woo) (11/21/90)

I just read a short preview of DiskFit 2.0 from a recent copy of
MacWeek. Although I own DiskFit, I have been using a network-licensed
copy of Redux for backup for a while because DiskFit lacks some
necessary features, such as backing up specified folders only. But
according to MacWeek, it seems as if DiskFit 2.0 handles such a task.

Now is it time for me to go back to DiskFit? Is it worth $25 for
upgrade? Or should I continue to use Redux? If anyone has seen it, I
would love to hear about it.

> asking about DiskFit 2.0

I just received, uploaded, and archived the limited version of
DiskFit 2.0 (called DiskFit 2.0df) which Supermac distributes
with their Dataframe hard-disk products. (I also sent the files
to the CBM-moderator for distribution on USEnet, so you should
be see them in the comp.binaries.mac newsgroup before Xmas, I'd
	expect....:-)

I have not tried out the program on my Dataframe myself yet,
but if you have a DataFrame disk and can FTP to my archives,
you can pick up the files with a binary ANON FTP to

		RASCAL.ICS.UTEXAS.EDU	at address	128.83.138.20

	in directory mac/NEW-in-9011
