The first few follow-ups to this mini-flame war seem to have drawn the Nisus users out for the defense of Paragon. Interesting! While I agree that 'how to solve a problem 'follow-up should really address the issue at hand -- I like to be kept informed of the best way to get from point A to point B. Better than mere advice on what to feed the horse to make it pull harder. Microsoft Word also asks its users for feedback ... in expensive glossy ads in choice inside covers of Mac magazines. Ever see Microsoft in the .sig of a product support posting on the net? Don't tell me they don't have net access -- I've *answered* more Mac questions (by e-mail to microsoft UUCP addresses) than I have seen support postings from the same sites. I'm more inclined to put up with Jon from Paragon and his *boring* product support than I am willing to deal with MS Word questions with RTFM answers anyway. Word processing software is currently dominated by a 4000 lb gorilla: MS Word. If the competition scores a few points, even Word users will benefit. They can use some shaking up! If progress means we have to wade through Nisus enthusiasm, NeXT enthusiasm, etc., fine. Has anyone seen IBM's recent PS-2 Model 90 ads? That one ought to have Apple working that extra bit harder to make my next Mac a better Mac. Just as Nisus plugs should prod Word developers.
