Gifconverter (shareware) can do this operation. Adobe Photoshop (comercial) will perform the same conversion, and a bunch of other stuff. Photoshop's TIFF reader is more complete than Gifconverter, it handles more of the encoding schemes, Intel byte ordering, etc, and so will be able to perform this conversion on more files. Disclaimer: I am the co-author of Photoshop.

There is a freeware program called Image. It can be found at sumex-aim.stanford.edu in one of the folders (probably apps). You can open TIFF files with it and then save as a PICT. From there you should be able to open the PICT files with GIF 1.08. Good Luck Rich Friedman@mbcl.rutgers.edu
