I am posting this question for a friend of mine who does not have net access. He just bought a (new) IIci, and is running Panorama (data base program). He says that after booting up and starting panorama, it works fine, but after its been up for a while and he is working with the tool the time it takes to go from one screen to another greatly increases (like on the order of 10-20 seconds). If he reboots (or shuts down) and starts over again it works fine until its been up for some time and then the whole thing repeats (taking longer and longer). He has a IIfx at work and a copy of Panorama there and does not experience this problem there. Both machines have 8 megs of ram, and each have very recent versions of the Mac OS (ver ?). I know that Panorama is a ram based tool - my guess is that there might be some problem allocating ram from the heap - but am not really sure. I doubt that its a ram speed issue - as this would cause system bombs. He has run the Panorama ram test and it seems to work fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
