Is there a way of getting ATM to look for its fonts in a folder other than the System Folder? My system folder is so crowded that I can't open it under Finder anymore :-( Tony Gedge. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Computer Science Department, | tonyg@batserver.cs.uq.oz.au | | University of Queensland, Australia.| "cc stands for Cryptic Crossword" | -------------------------------------------------------------------------

The only requirement is that you have a font suitcase open in the folder that the outline fonts are in. I've used it successfully to take all of my fonts (60 to 70) and place them in an entirely different location on my hard drive! Makes things really convenient, since I just use the associated screen fonts for the open suitcase, keeping it all in one place. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charles Gousha | "Yes, Star Trek IS a way of life" c60a-aj@danube.berkeley.edu | (myself) All normal disclaimers apply, including some abnormal ones.

You also can use SetPaths to set the font path. (Ref: ATM users guide, S.16). I don't know if it works with earlier versions of ATM. Another way is to make the fonts invisible to the finder (Any disktool (e.g. ResEdit) will do this). Fred Hucht, University of Duisburg, Germany. EMail: fred@hal9000.uni-duisburg.de

Versions of Adobe Type Manager prior to 2.0 will also work with Suitcase II and MasterJuggler in regards to accessing outline fonts. Ed Svoboda Adobe Technical Support
