In article <40104@nigel.ee.udel.edu>, johnston@oscar.ccm.udel.edu writes...

>(Mr. Gonzalez is one of three 'software engineers' who wrote StuffIt
>Deluxe. The others are Danny Lovato, and the 'Chief engineer' Ray Lau.)
                         ^^^^^
That's Darryl Lovato, sorry ... that's what you get for using small print
in the "About ..." box!

>Mr. Gonzalez agreed to let me paraphrase his explanation of the Deluxe
>Installer problem that I and a few other netters have reported.
>>) Mr. Gonzalez *did* try to reply to my e-mail messages to "aladdin"
><aladdin@well.sf.ca.us> and failed due to a mail routing problem.

Mail from from Alladin was received by our host today, 28 Dec., and was
"postmarked" 26 Dec. at the point of origin. The mail explanation was
substantially the same as my paraphrase of Mr. Gonzalez phone message.
Aladdin does indeed provide speedy and helpful product support!

I would like to thank everybody who mailed and/or posted constructive
suggestions, particularly Leonard Rosenthol, Garance Drosehn, Brian Aslakson,
and Ken Weaverling.
