I was initially disappointed with the installation procedure for these fonts as well. However, Suitcase takes care of it now: just invoke Suitcase once running Textures and open the screen fonts. This seems to make the fonts only visible when running TeXtures, and is automatic after opening the screen font file the first time. If you need the fonts only for certain other specific application do the same thing there. This method means that you don't have to see the million and one (whoops, 40:-) font names in the menu every time. I am generally happy with the new release and have retired my old CM font bitmaps (8+ Mbytes compressed using the Font & Sound Valet which comes with Suitcase). Now that we have a satisfactory CM font set in PostScript, has anyone tried doing page rotations so that landscape format tables can be included in the main body of the document? This should be possible through Postscript alone, or am I missing something? (Assuming a default portrait page format.) -- W.
