Hi. I have been recently looking into Zedcor's DeskPaint/DeskDraw combo as a possible upgrade to my current drawing program. I currently own SuperPaint 2.0, but have become rather dissatisfied by it's performance in several areas. If you own or have worked with DeskPaint/DeskDraw 3.01, please send me your opinions of the programs. I am specifically concerned with the following areas: - Speed, especially on the Mac SE and LC machines - Performance and memory handling - Bezier or Smooth-curve editing capabilities - Object grouping and manipulation capabilities - Patterned & graduated fills - Text handling and features - Free-rotation, skewing, special effects - Enlarge/reduce; multiple copies of objects - Airbrush (NOT spray-can) If you've also worked with SuperPaint 2.0 before, I'm interested in how you think the two compare. If you're interested, Zedcor currently has a trade-up policy (effective until Jan. 31) They are accepting a large variety of Drawing & Painting programs (original disks) + $49 to upgrade to DeskPaint/DeskDraw 3.01. Just check out their ad in a recent MacUser. Please send all replies via mail rather than replying to the net - I may be unable to check in the next few days and my News program only saves a couple days. Thanks. =============================================================================== | John T.
