I just bought Freedom of Press 3.0 for use with my HP DeskWriter and have run into an interesting problem: If I want to use the FP Spooler, there is no configuration of cables that will permit me to use my modem! Here's the logic: * To use the FP Spooler, you choose the LaserWriter driver and select a "virtual printer" called FP Spooler. * Choosing the LaserWriter driver requires turning on AppleTalk. * Turning on AppleTalk ties up the printer port. * There is only one port left over--and I must use that for the DeskWriter. Does anyone out there have a solution to the problem? Please email responses, and I will post a summary if there seems to be enough interest. Thank in advance. -- Tom Ngo ngo@harvard.harvard.edu 617/495-1768 lab number, leave message
