I'm a new user of Quark Xpress 3.0. There are a couple of things I haven't figured out how to do yet. Any help would be appreciated. 1. How do you copy master pages from one document to another? Dragging pages doesn't seem to work. I've figured out some kludgy ways of getting the job done, but they're not very slick. I'd like to copy everything about a master page -- all text boxes with exact placement, etc. I can select all the boxes and drag them, but then I have to make sure they have the same placement manually. *SURELY* this is something everyone needs to do, there must be a simple way to do it. 2. How do you keep multiple paragraphs together on one page? I have a document where I need to keep all lines in paragraphs together, and also want a specified range of paragraphs on the same page. With both keep all lines together and keep with next paragraph checked, keep with next paragraph seems to have no effect. The only way I've been able to do this is with the Enter key. 3. How on earth do you do footnotes??? There seems to be no smarts about footnotes at all, which I find astonishing. I've got better handling of footnotes in WriteNow, for crying out loud. It seems you have to create and size a text box for the footnote manually, enter superscripts manually. I presume you can sort of keep the box on the right page by making it an anchored text box, though I haven't played with this. Yuk.
