Thanks to everyone who sent responses. I'm posting because several people sent me notes asking for a summary. Basically there were only two packages that were mentioned frequently, Quicken and Manange Your Money. The concensus is that if your finances are relatively simple then Quicken is the way to go because it is cheap and functional. This compared to Checkwriter which people say is more expensive and as good or worse than Quicken. For serious folks with lots of money resources to manage the concensus was MYM. [...] Anyone care to comment on the relative merits of MANAGING YOUR MONEY and MAC MONEY? Those seem to be the two packages that are reasonably complete w.r.t. the kinds of features they offer.
