[comp.sys.mac.apps] Why does "Get Info" bomb on Finder file?

rgonzal@elbereth.rutgers.edu (Ralph Gonzalez) (02/05/91)

Brief question:

When I do a "Get Info" on the Finder file in my System folder, my Mac
II bombs. This is with Sys. 6.0.7. I noticed the same problem on
another machine (Mac IIcx) running Sys. 6.0.5. Anyone else have this
problem? Is it just because the Finder is busy and can't check
itself?

Thanks.

Gatekeeper Aid version 1.0 was known to cause this problem, if memory
serves. Are you running this INIT?

The latest version is 1.1.

doesn't happen to me, classic mac II (68020), system 6.0.7, etc.

are you running vanilla systems (i.e. could this be a common init
conflict)?

sound like the old problem when using a less than up-to-date
	version of GateKeeper

Thanks for your replies. I am using Gatekeeper Aid, so I expect this
is what caused the problems.
