Does anyone know what the Font Porter does which is included in Abobe Type Manager? It appears as a init during startup but doesn't show up in the control panel. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Phillip Ng v119mb9h@ubvms.cc.buffalo.edu v119mb9h@ubvms.bitnet

The Font Porter INIT included with ATM will automatically open up and install any font suitcases that are in your system folder. I use it by putting all of my "oddball" bitmap fonts in suitcases rather than installing them into the system. That way I can shorten my font menus by simply deselecting font porter with the INIT cdev. Of course, if you own suitcase or master juggler, you already have the functionality of font porter (and more -- I wish I had suitcase :-( ). --> --> Dale UVa (ds4a@virginia.edu)
