Anybody out there has a pd shareware or freeware backup program for hard disks? I've tried the 3 on sumex and wuarchive but they cannot backup: in one case: an HFS hard disk?!?!?!?! in the other two: a file bigger than what can go on a floppy. Now what if i want to save an archive ( 10 Megs) on floppys? Also are there any other hard disk tester other than scsi evaluator? I need something that can test the transfer rate, the seek times and (preferably) a test that transfer files and has an index in seconds ( not like speedometer comparison to an se with 40meg). Apple puts HD Backup on the Utilities 1 disk of System update disks. Aside from lack of fancy features, does anyone find any problems with this for stand-alone Macs? -- Dan Dlugose Internet: dlugose@uncecs.edu UNC Educational Computing Service Box 12035, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709-2035

HD Backup has been removed from the system disks (I believe as of 6.0.5) and is incompatible with the operating system now. pr -- Pete Resnick (...so what is a mojo, and why would one be rising?)
