There are several pieces of software around for driving plotters directly connected to the serial port of the mac (MacPlot etc...). Is it possible to cause the output of these drivers to be sent to a file rather than the device (like the laserwriter driver can be made to deposit the Postscipt into a file rather than send it to the printer)? The purpose of this request is to be able to plot on a plotter (HPGL commands) that is connected to a mainframe at another site. Does anyone have any knowhow on this?
