A friend of mine is taking a geneology course. The instructor has said that they should use a program for their work. Unfortunately the instructor is using (and is only familiar with) IBMPC type programs. My friend called me and asked for help. I looked in the back of a recent issue of MacUser. I came up with "Reunion" and "Roots and Branches". Reunion is published by Leister Productions of Mechanicsburg Pa. Roots and Branches is from GSC, Dept M of Fairfield Iowa. Reunion was reviewed(?) for 4.5 mice in Steve Bobker's column of 10/90. I have this article and the review is cursory at best. The Roots and Branches program I have no knowledge of. I have two questions. 1. Does anyone know of any other programs for the Mac which are designed for geneology? If you have any experience with them, how would you rate them and why? 2. How would you rate Reunion and Roots and Branches? What were your dealings with their respective publishers like. Thanks in advance. Tim Ward tward@sumax.seattleu.edu

In the sort time I have been involved in this news group, I have noticed a lot of request for Genealogy programs. My boss is into that big-time. His suggestion was the Personal Ansestrial File distributed by the Morman Church, Salt Lake City. The cost is a mere $35.00 for a program that he really likes. (He purchased the program over a year ago, so the price may have gone up since then.) Hope this helps some of you. If you have any questions, you can mail him at: documail!bruce@mcdchg.chg.mcd.mot.com. Good luck!
