A friend of mine bought a StyleWriter last week, and we immediately tried it out on a portable and an SE/30. The thing that struck us was that TrueType doesn't seem to have proper shadow style, it just prints the text with a *very* thin outline instead, and of course TrueType prevents Adobe Type Manager from imaging fonts for which TrueType has outlines, so we could't even get ATM to do it for us (except using a PS font that TrueType couldn't have imaged). Is this a known ommission in TrueType, or does no-one use Shadowed style fonts? Personally I *love* to see ATM image Italic Shadowed PS fonts, and was hoping that TrueType could do the same.
