When in outline view in MS Word 4.0, shifting from one of the headings to body text automatically gives the body text the "Normal" style, even if you have defined the previous heading to have a next style something other than "Normal". If you are editing the file in galley view, the body text does acquire the "next style" if you begin a new paragraph from the end of the line of one of the outline headings. Is there a way to set the body text default to something other than "Normal" while in outline view? This would allow me to change the format of the body text without affecting the style of all the other headings, which are based on "Normal". Please e-mail response to: altman@picasso.mmwb.ucsf.edu I'll post summary if something of general interest shows up. ********************************************************************* John Altman Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, S-926 University of California, San Francisco San Francisco, CA 94143 altman@picasso.mmwb.ucsf.edu -- John Altman Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, S-926 University of California, San Francisco San Francisco, CA 94143
