One of our users is having problems with MacWrite II. He uses bold Geneva 14 a lot. When he opens a document, MacWrite says: this document uses fonts which are not installed in the system folder. Fragments which used to be in Geneva 14 bold now appear to be in Chicago bold 14 (*ugly!*). Needless to say, Geneva 14 *is* installed. This started happening shortly after he used the official installer script to update the System to 6.0.4. Re: disappearing fonts in Macwrite II: Have you tried using font/da mover to remove geneva fonts, and then reinstall them from the system floppies? It's possible you have a damaged resource fork in your geneva fonts, or if you're using suitcase, you might have more than one set of genevas. In this case, i believe suitcase uses the first bunch of genevas installed, which might lack the size you're using (though that shouldn't make it change to a different font, just try to approximate geneva 14 using geneva 12 or whatever.) You might have a font numbering conflict. You could try uninstalling all your fonts and reinstalling all of them, or at least all the ones you actually use. The more fonts you have installed, the greater the possibilty of font numbering conflicts and redundant inclusion of the same fonts over and over again, which if nothing else is wasteful. gort@cup.portal.com

I would upgrade to system 6.0.5. If I remember correctly, system 6.0.4 was EXTREMELY buggy. I can even remember going to a conference where Apple didn't include it in their list of recommended versions/ machine type.
