I recently purchased Adobe Streamline, a package that supposedly converts image (scanned) files to vector files. Unfortunately, I have not been impressed at all with the vector files Streamline has created. As a test, I compared the time it took me to scan a line art drawing from our company's draftsperson and convert it to vector format via Streamline and make it look good in Freehand versus the time it took me to redraw the artwork myself in Freehand. Much to my disappointment, the Freehand file I drew took less time and looked much better than what Streamline could accomplish. Please comment if you have had similar disappointments with Streamline or know someone who has.
