I'm developing a university business office forms database using Omnis 5- this is my first real database development project, and I'm having problems getting the darned thing to print for me when I want it to. The basic idea is that I allow a user to type in a bunch of info on something that looks like one of the standard multi-part forms they've been using in the past, and then have the info printed out onto one of those forms using an Epson 24-pin printer. The problem is that Omnis 5 seems to be a bit flaky in its report printing section. I've managed to get it to create screen previews of printouts that are close to what I want, but it balks on sending this stuff to the printer. The frustrating thing about this is that i *can* get it to print out reports from deep within the bowels of the design area... Without going into too much more gory detail, does anyone out there have any experience with similar projects, or with Omnis 5 in particular? Oh yes, call me foolhardy, but I've been using 7.0b4 and then 7.0f2 for most of the development, but switching to 6.0.5 for the parts which directly involve printing, since the driver i've got for the Epson dies a horrible death under 7.0. thanksinadvance!! -- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ dave long dlong@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu research programmer dlong@uxh.cso.uiuc.edu computing services office AppleLink: A0377
