I ran Apple's Compatibility program on my hard disks to anticipate what problems I might have with System 7. Two are worth communicating further. The program says I must update MacFlow 3.5 to 3.53. But the tech. support person I spoke with told me that 3.5 will work fine. McMax is another story. Nantucket hasn't even heard about System 7, has no plans to test or update the program, urges prospective buyers not to buy it, and hopes it will just die away. So, I won't know if it is compatible until I try it under System 7. If it isn't, I'll undergo the laborious but not very difficult conversion to FoxBase. In the long run, I'll probably do that anyway. But, based on this experience, I would be very cautious about buying anything produced by Nantucket (which produces Clipper for the PC) again. Steve Goldfield P.S. If you saw my earlier post about DPI's init for its Syquest drive, new software and a new manual can be obtained by phoning them. (DPI has been acquired by PLI.)
