4D Users: We are planning (if there's enough interest) to host a 4D Developer's conference sometime late this summer. The meeting would be a two-day event and would include a number of speakers and topics. Acius has expressed an interest in such an event, and said that it could send some folks from Technical Support and Sales to demo new products (i.e. the new data server) and give advice on optimization. In effect, we would like this to become a sort of impromptu "Devcon South"; with talks by Acius and other developers who are doing work with the Acius products. We have been able to schedule a package that would include mettings, meals, materials, etc. for just under $200. We have a block of rooms for about $60/day at the local Radison, and transportation to and from the Tallahassee Municiple Airport. So, what do you say? Is there interest out there in netland? We need a minimum of 50 folks to make this work, so please let us know if you're interested. Also, if you have any suggestions for panel and seminar topics, please let me know. Any input is welcome and appreciated. --Larry Hagood Database Administrator (and Registered 4D Developer) Supercomputer Computations Research Institute Florida State University Internet: hagood@scri1.scri.fsu.edu Voice: 904-644-0194
