The recent thread on terminal emulation programs was interesting, but it left me with a question. How (if at all) is White Knight at FTP? FYI, I'm calling up my schools VAX, which is running VMS. Or should I just get VersaTerm? Versions over $100 are out; thanks! e-mail fine, but people seem to like this topic, so post away! -Dan Becker

Dan, I use Red Ryder, (WK's predecessor) to connect to an MTS system and thence to ftp sites. It works fine. I use the VT102 emulation, and have a few macro keys coded to help select sites, etc, and to get/put files. no sweat, and easy to do. I personally use Zmodem. I couldn't get White Knight to do a 19200 transfer between our VAX and my SE... +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Steve Fuller | Iowa | I will choose the path that's clear. + | | State | I will choose freewill. + |xdpq8@ccvax.iastate.edu | University | -- RUSH -- + +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
