I have seen one article about this here already, but what Dantz is doing is so nice I think it deserves some extra recognition. Last Monday, on the day that System 7.0 was released, I got a totally unexpected, free of charge upgrade, for an entirely 7.0-specific version of Dantz' backup program 'Retrospect' (which is IMHO the *best* backup software there is). You can argue that distributing free upgrades on time is what a company is *supposed* to do, but we all know how seldom it actually happens. And please note: I live in the Netherlands, in *Europe*. Realize how bad software support is for you people, living in the States, at least able to make phone-calls that do not cost a small fortune, speaking the language, etc. Now imagine what life usually is like for us European users. That's right: 'nightmarish' doesn't even come close. Anyway, just wanted to tell everybody that if you're looking for a reliable backup program, produced by a company that really cares for *all* its customers, you should definitely consider Retrospect. -- Leo Breebaart (leo @ duttnph.tudelft.nl)
