[comp.sys.mac.apps] Meshing parts of two existing fonts together?

Hi. Is there an application or utility that lets you mesh parts of two
existing fonts (Times and Symbol, for example) into a new font? I'd like to
replace some of the characters that I never use in the Times font with some
of the characters that I always use of the Symbol font. I don't want to
design or create any new characters; just mesh the most frequent characters
of the two fonts.  Thanks in advance for any help (and thanks for the
