Hi peoples, Ever come home from a long day to be met at the door by a flying Macintosh? That's what almost happened to me tonight. My fiance has been trying for a couple of hours, it seems, to print a draft copy of her paper (due tomorrow) on my imagewriter II. MS Word (4.0something) kept giving her a "Low on Memory, close all docs" error after 2 pages of a 9 page paper. I reproduced this, then simply selected "Faster" in the imagewriter dialog; paper printed fine. Can you say "Nasty Look"? Any clue why? (for the printing problem; I know why I got the dirty look :) ) System: SE/30, 5 MB System 7.0 2MB for Word. Right after the "low Memory" error, I went to the Finder, and Word was only using 1/2 of it's 2MB! Sheesh. I never print in draft mode, so I never saw this before with system 6.0.x; can't say it is a sys7 or Word problem. I'd love any comments or help! ************************************************************************* John Boswell (preferred)--> John.S.Boswell@dartmouth.edu Dept. of Chemistry 603-646-2044 boz@dartCMS1.BITNET Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire 03755
