Is there a way within 4D to switch printers under program control? We would like to be able to have the procedure itself switch from Laserwriter to Labelwriter when needed.

There are at least a couple of external procedures available which will do this (the most popular is ATChooser, available in the CompuServe ACIUS forum library). Unfortunately, ATChooser (nor any of the others) currently work with System 7 (because Apple changed something); fortunately, Tim Sullivan, the author, expects to have a new version in a week or so.
