I have been following the recent M.S. Word/Nissus disscussion.Having used Word for many years, I used to be happy. Now that I have got into some more serious documents I have run into many limitations with Word. I have two questions. 1. How can I fix the line spacing when I use the formula commands. For example if I type in a chemical reaction with subscripts, superscripts, etc... in a double spaced document, the space above the formula is about half a line, while below I have about a line and a half of space. I understand there used to be an FKey(?) that could fix this?? 2. DeltaPoint has a neat (read cheap) summer promotion involving Taste, UltraPaint, some fonts and some clipart. I am relatively impressed with Taste as a minor pagelayout program. It has two layers, word processing and drawing. There is no equation formatting although it is eveidently compatible with MathType. Has anyone used this? Is this an answer to some of my formating problems? Please e-mail responses to me. I will summarize to the net at the end of the week (or when I canUt handle anymore e-mail). Thanks, dave (just a guy trying to make his thesis look decent) grayson@hougen.seas.ucla.edu -- David A. Grayson grayson@hougen.seas.ucla.edu
