I just got FrameMaker 2.1 for the Mac, and it looks like a really good program. It does everything I'd want for writing a technical thesis... Except allowing references to be listed at the end of the document, rather than at the bottom of the page. Does anyone have any experience with FrameMaker, and is there any way to get it to list the "footnotes" at the end of the document? It seems strange for a program which includes a phenomenal equation formatting program, only useful in technical documents, to not allow this, since most papers submitted to journals, and most technical books, list their citations at the end of the paper. Frame is supposed to be working on bibliography support, but it will not be in the intial 3.0 release and I have no idea how good the support will be once they do add it. In the mean time, you need to use a biblio making program such as EndNote. Although EndNote does not directly support Frame files, you can get it to work with FrameMaker. Anyone interested in learning how should send me a message and I'll send you the instructions. ---Todd -- Todd R. Johnson tj@cis.ohio-state.edu Laboratory for AI Research The Ohio State University
