We are having a problem here with the new LaserWriter Drivers and Word 4. The problem occurs using both system 6.0.? with LaserWriter 6.1 and system 7.0 with LaserWriter 7.0. The problem is: when we print a document with a PostScript graphic near the beginning of a file the graphic is moved left and upwards on the page such that part of the graphic is moved outside the margins. The portion of the graphic outside the margins is not printed so that we end up with the bottom righthand corner of the graphic only. The text to the right of the graphic prints in the correct position. i.e. in the same place as for system 6.0.? with LaserWriter 5.2 which prints the graphic correctly also. If a plain text character is placed in the file before the PostScript graphic we have the same problem. Our hassel is that the graphic and text we are trying to print is the Dept. letter head hence they are used reasonably often. The problem doesn't seem to occur for other types of graphics such as PICT. Is this a problem with word 4.0(a?) ( if so is it fixed in later releases ), or with the 6.1 and 7.0 printer drivers ( on another note is there any difference between the LaserWriter 6.1 and 7.0 printer drivers). Please respond to: CHEM3154@waikato.ac.nz Results, if need be, will be summarised at a later date. Thanks, Les Arnold, CHEM3154@WAIKATO.ac.nz
