I have been using UltraPaint 1.03 on my SE/30 with an external color monitor and the Micron 8-bit 640x480 video card for a while and I'm quite happy with the program. It's drawing tools are very extensive (better than SuperPaint, I think) and it has lots of neat color painting tools and effects. All in all it is a very good buy. The only problem I've had with it is that it crashes when I change the number of colors in the Montors Control Panel. This happens either when UltraPaint is running or after I've quit from it. Deneba says they've never had any trouble with any Mac/video card combo they've tried, and Micron says they're not doing anything wrong either. Oh, well.... I'd like to hear from anyone who has tried UltraPaint on the SE/30 with this card. I've tried both 6.0.7 and 7.0, with no inits/extensions. Thanks, Simon Kaplan Cornell Univ.
