I've got a bit of a problem. I need to, every week day, have each of our three Macs back themselves up. That in itself is no problem; we have Fastback II, and it has scheduled macros. The problem is that the backup drive is located on an Appleshare file server, which I need to have the Macs log into before they back up. That in itself is also not a problem; we have Quickeys, and I wrote a log-on-to-the-server macro with QK that works just great. My main problem is getting the two to work together. QK doesn't have a scheduler, and Fastback doesn't seem to want to record the keystrokes I set up for the QK macro. Anyone have any ideas? We're using an old version of Quickeys for some reason (it's 1.2.1, and I believe there's been an upgrade...dunno why it's not been upgraded...) Is there some way to make Fastback record actual keystrokes, or does a newer version of Quickeys (or Tempo II, or whatever for that matter) have a scheduler? Email me, or post...thanks in advance! It can also schedule tasks after restart, after a program starts or at shutdown. QuickKeys 2 has many more features than 1, and while it does not add any major differences to the scheduling feature, it makes scheduling easier to define for a sequence or a single QuickKey. -- = Enjoy! = = John DeRosa, Motorola, Inc, Cellular Infrastructure Group = = e-mail: motcid!derosaj@uunet.uu.net, n1111@applelink.apple.com = =I do not hold by employer responsible for any information in this message =
