[comp.sys.mac.apps] upgrade information for OnCue?

jaime@tcville.HAC.COM (06/15/91)

Does anyone know what the upgrade status is for OnCue?

The Compatibility Checker stack tells me that version 1.3 needs to be
upgraded for system 7.0, and I've tried calling ICOM Simulation's phone
number in OnCue's about box, but it seems it's disconnected.

I was really freaked out when On Cue failed to work on System 7. But
Applicon is better for some functions. Many other functions work
out better by using a folder of Aliases. However, I'm using a 19 inch

yeah. Well, I did what any right-thinking lazy American would do--I called information in the 312 area code, since that's where ICOM was last known to hang out.

Information gave me ICOM's phone number: (708) 520-4440.

Hmmmm. But I dialed information for the 312 area code...

Looks like the Bell company has been dicking around with the area codes again. How hard would it have been for them to have a recording that says, for example, "Try area code 708 for this number." But nooooooooooo. All the recording says is "you can't call this number here. call someone else for help." Sheesh. I spent 60 cents on an information call because the Bell company up in the Chicago area is too stupid to handle this problem correctly.
