[comp.lang.functional] Functional Language for IBM PC?

E.Ireland@massey.ac.nz (Evan Ireland) (10/25/90)

Hi,

I am looking for a functional language implementation that runs on IBM
PCs and compatibles. This would hopefully be used in the extra-mural
(distance) teaching of a 3rd year programming languages course.

Requirements are listed below.

o	Statically typed
o	Algebraic (constructed) data types or similar
o	Pattern matching
o	Higher-order functions
o	Lazy evaluation
o	Available before June 1991

I do not require floating point, modules, fancy I/O systems etc.

I realise that I am asking for a lot! Still, if you know of any such
implementations, or any that meet "most" of the requirements (I don't
mean to include Scheme or other Lisps however), please let me know by
email. I will summarise to the net (if I get any replies)!

	    Thanks in advance,
