This is to call your attention to The Language List, just posted to the comp.lang.misc newsgroup. This is a growing compendium of information on all types of computer languages, started through the efforts of Tom Rombouts <tomr@ashtate.A-T.com>, and containing contributions from many Usenetters. The list presently contains entries for approx 950 languages, and is being added to daily. For each language, we're trying to collect a date and author, a brief summary, and a published reference where further information can be found. If anyone can supply further information on languages that should be included, missing details, or any corrections to the list, please e-mail them to me, and we will include them in the next update.
