Denmark accepts Germany's demands and ceases hostilities. 13 Danes
and 20 Germans have died in the occupation.

Five British destroyers enter Narvik Fjord and engage ten German
DD's there; two ships from each flotilla are lost, and Commodore
Bonte, High Commander of the German Destroyer forces, is killed,
as is Captain Warburton-Lee, the British flotilla commander. In
addition, 9 German transports are sunk.

The U-4 sinks the British submarine HMS Thistle off Stavanger.

Iceland's Parliament severs its ties with the Danish government.

The Dutch army is placed on alert, while Sweden declares her neutrality
in the current hostilities.
