Argyrokastro and the port of Santi Quaranta.

Rome calls up an additional 250,000 soldiers, calling the
measure "routine."

Germany announces new foreign aid to Rumania for economic
rehabilitation, and Rumania expropriates all oil pipelines
within its borders. London, meanwhile, announces a new trade
agreement with Turkey.

The RAF announces great success in its recent bombings,
including damage to synthetic oil plants in Germany and
the ignition of huge fires at an aviation fuel dump
near Stettin. Hits on a refinery in Hamburg are also
claimed.

"There is every sign that the R.A.F. policy of aiming instead
of shedding bombs is the right one. It not only causes
damage where it will hurt Germany most but there is evidence
it injures the morale of the German people more than
indiscriminate bombing." - British Air Ministry
