German bombers hit Liverpool in a heavy night raid.

Bulgaria introduces a number of anti-Semitic laws, aimed at the 50,000 Jews
living in that country.  Also affected are Free Masons and other "secret
societies."

London announces that the Royal Navy has conducted a sweep of the Adriatic
Sea, considered Italy's "private lake."  The Navy has also bombarded
Bardia for five days, and carried supplies to advancing Commonwealth units
in North Africa.

An Italian press release estimates that Britain has deployed 425,000 men,
1500 aircraft, and 500,000 tons of warships in support of its desert
attack.
