100 German bombers hit London by night, ending a 3-day Christmas "truce."

German raiders remain active in the Pacific; the Komet, flying a Japanese
flag, shells phosphate production facilities on Nauru Island.

Greece reports slow, but steady gains in Albania.  Fighting there is
hindered by cold, snowy weather.
