Hitler and Mussolini conclude their meeting. Hitler resolves to
enter the Greek campaign in the event of British intervention there,
and promises that two German divisions will be sent to North Africa
as the earliest possible date.

Turmoil in Rumania reaches a peak, and the Iron Guard stages a revolt
against the dictator, General Antonescu. In addition, Iron Guardsmen
begin pogroms against Rumanian Jews, killing nearly 1000. Loyal Rumania
and German troops work to put down the uprising.

Franklin Roosevelt is inaugurated for his third term as President of the
United States.
