A sea battle takes place when the New Zealand light cruiser Leander meets 
the Italian merchant cruise Ramb I off the Maldives.  The Leander 
outclasses the smaller Italian ship, which is soon set on fire and explodes.

Italy present Spain with a bill for 7500 million lire for services
rendered during the Spanish Civil War.

Resistance in Italian Somaliland begins to collapse, and British troops
report that thousands of prisoners are being taken daily.  The defenders
at Keren Pass in Eritrea continue to hold out, however.

London warns Sofia that Britain will not stand idle if German troops
enter that Bulgaria.
