The US Treasury Department completes it relocation of the nation's
gold reserves.  The gold has been secretly moved from New York City
to Fort Knox, Kentucky.

British casualties from German bombing in February have amounted to 789
killed and 1068 wounded.

Alfonso XIII, former King of Spain, dies in Rome at age 64.
